The dollmakers email list was founded in June 1996, and is the oldest internet community dedicated to the art and craft of making dolls.  Some prefer to call them “Mixed Media Figurative Sculpture” as doll barely covers the huge range of this form. However, I’ve always loved the word doll since it evokes a beloved companion or a best friend. The meat of our site has always been the email discussion list, with dollmakers of all levels and styles from all over the world.  Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned professional, you are welcome here.
