Many of these travelers wanted information on doll groups in their area. I would love to be able to put them in contact with your doll club. We would be more than happy to distribute your flyers and contact information for your club. All flyers should be 5 1/2" X 8" with your club name, contact person, address, phone, and if you have one an email address.

    Convention information:

  • AFIC Comes Alive In 2005: The second Artistic Figure in Cloth convention, one of the top "art learning" oriented cloth doll conventions in the United States. The excitement of the students just adds to the already heightened atmosphere. The staff goes out of their way to make everyone's stay pleasant. The vendors put on an awesome display. The exhibit is a breath-taking blend of doll artist and participants. The teacher's classes are packed with techniques. The AFIC has a cozy atmosphere, still maintaining itself as a well-run event.
AFIC is based on making 3 dimensional fiber art but not limited to fabric. Artist/doll makers need to be able to branch out and merge a variety of art techniques into their creations. We recognize the need for new techniques and skills. Every workshop being taught has special techniques; this makes all the classes very attractive. The classes include but are not limited to beading, thread painting, face drawing, fabric manipulation, painting, sculpting and construction, found objects, assemblage, free motion embroidery, gourd work, and design classes. If you love making 3-dimensional art, you will find classes that are just right for you. Learn new fabric embellishment techniques, how to use new products, and incorporate them into you artistic figure. Come join the fun!
