Description of Seminar:
Learn the fine art of needlefelting or sculpting using hand-dyed sheep's wool and a special
needle. This fascinating technique is taking the doll and figural
world by storm! Students are taught to form an armature using core wool,
then build the outer layers with colorful Norwegian and New Zealand wool.
Information on the basic properties of wool plus the process of creating
felt by wet felting will be shared. Student should go home with a finished
head plus in depth instruction on how to finish their one-of-a-kind piece.
Sculpt your own whimsical character or Art doll or animal.
