Sarah Niemela
-
Sarah Niemela has sculpted her dolls from polymer clay since 1996. She has participated in the Artists United Show in New York City for three years. Her work has been sold in galleries since 1997. She is mostly self-taught but has taken professional art classes of different kinds. She was taught to draw in the Atelier method of the old masters. She has been enrolled in her local art center to study portrait sculpture. She has worked with live models to sculpt a portrait of them and continues to study human anatomy whenever possible. Sarah has sculpted in polymer, paper and water-based clays.
